Oedogonium spec. Oedogonium forms unbranched filaments which are attached on stones or plants. After each binary fission the axial cells get rib-like marks on the cell wall. So the number of „ribs“ indicate the number of divisions the cell has undergone. The scale bar indicates 25 µm.

Oedogonium bildet unverzweigte Fäden, die auf Steinen oder Pflanzen befestigt sind. Nach jeder Teilung bekommen die axialen Zellen einen rippenartigen Markierungsring auf die Zellwand. Die Anzahl der Rippen gibt demnach die Anzahl der Teilungen der Zelle wieder. Der Messbalken markiert eine Länge von 25 µm.
