Staurastrum gratum WHELDEN The cells are 1/3 longer than wide coarsely oval in shape, tri-radial, but similar to a Cosmarium. Thr central cuts are shallow, the cell edges with small waves. The cell wall is covered with concentric rings of small warts. The vertex view is triangular with broadly rounded off ends.
Dimension: Length 40 µm, width 30 µm.
Occurrence: Known only from northern areas (Baffin Island and Labrador).

Die Zellen sind 1/3 länger als breit, im groben Umriss oval, triradiat, aber einem Cosmarium ähnlich. Die Mitteleinschnitte sind seicht, die Zellränder mit kleinen Wellen. Die Zellwand ist mit konzentischen Reihen kleiner Warzen besetzt. Die Scheitelansicht ist dreieckig mit breit abgerundeten Enden.
Dimensionen: Länge 40 µm, Breite 30 µm.
Vorkommen: Nur aus nördlichen Gebieten bekannt (Baffin Island und Labrador).
