Dimension: Length (27)–30–45–(53) µm, width (20)–23–30–(34) µm, L/W (1.25)–1.3–1.5–(1.6).

Occurrence: Occasionally in moderately acidic moor waters and littoral zones of moor lakes. Cosmopolitan, scattered throughout Central Europe.
