Micrasterias papillifera

Dimension: Length (85)–100–150–(170) µm, width (85)–100–140–(165) µm, L/W (1.0)–1.05–1.15–(1.2).

Occurrence: A rather acidophilic species, it is widespread in various water bodies of moors and also in moist peat moss meadows, often together with Micrasterias rotata. This species is morphologically variable, so several varieties have been described.
