Observations on Euplotes affinis

Synopsis of the dorsal and ventral view of Euplotes affinis. The dorsal ribs on the cortex are visible together with the adoral membranellar zone, features that characterize the species. The ventral cirrus (bundled cilia) allow the unicellular organisms to walk on the substrate.
