Coleps viridis

Sampling date 04/2006. Scale bar indicates 50 µm.

Population with an extraordinary size. Ehrenberg specifies the length of C. viridis in his original description as 25–45 µm , Pröschold (https://doi.org/10.1038/s41598-021-84265-y) in his 2021 revision as 44–63 µm. According to Pröschold, all Coleps populations with zoochlorella belong to the species C. viridis.
