First and second:Synoptic representation of the tests (shells). Two specimens, the first showing the tiny scales above the thin organic collar around the pseudostome.
Third to ninth:Seven cross-sections show the cell nucleus and the alternating pulsation of the two CVs below the nucleus. The regions of the CVs are circled for clarity; the systolic disintegration patterns of the CVs are clearly visible.
